Google Flights
Google Flight Explore allows you to search for the best deal for filghts. You can set email alerts for a specific period of time. See tutorial from The Points Guy to learn the features offered.
pAiback
This flight-refund tool uses artificial intelligence to monitor your flights and automatically issue refunds when prices drop. Once you create an account and connect your email, pAiback will scan your email for filght only emails and start tracking them. You can manually add a confirmation email by forwarding it to ticketing@paiback.app.
For more information see the blog from The Points Guy.
Junova
Just as with pAiback, you forward your confirmation from the airline, and it automatically tracks your flights and then requests a refund in the form of a trip credit.
"We charge a 20% success fee, but only when you save," Junova says on its website. "No up-front costs."
One note: You can't double-dip. Whichever company finds the better flight price first wins (I have both companies tracking all my same flights).
I signed up for this several weeks after I had signed up for pAiback. After connecting to my email, this one found my five flights within a minute, while pAiback did not catch all the flights. I had to manually add several.
Points Path
Would you like to know how many points needed for the airline ticket? In most airline websites you can view by dollars or by points.
If you are doing your prelimanary research you are probably starting with Google Flights. There is a plugin that will show the dollars and points! You will need to install the plugin by following the directions at Points Path, and it has a FREE version!
